Features

More than a simple PDF joiner

Files view and Pages view

Arrange whole documents as file cards, then switch to Pages to place a single page exactly where it belongs, even between pages of another file.

PDFs and images together

Mix PDFs with JPG, PNG, WEBP and other images, including iPhone HEIC photos. Choose fit to image, A4 or Letter pages and an optional margin for the images.

Fix pages before you merge

Rotate a file or one page, rotate everything at once, duplicate pages, insert blank pages, sort by name or reverse the order. Undo any change with Ctrl+Z.

Private by design

Your files are merged on your own device with no upload, no account, no watermark and no file-count limit. Only your device memory sets how much you can combine.

How to merge PDF files into one document

Merging PDFs is the quickest way to turn scattered paperwork into one file you can send, print or archive: invoices for a month, chapters of a report, signed contracts with their annexes, or scanned receipts for an expense claim. BestConverter merges files directly in your browser, so documents are never uploaded and there is no waiting for a server to send the result back.

Put every page in the right place

After you add your files, each one appears as a card with a colour of its own. Drag cards to change the order, or use the + buttons to insert new files at an exact position. Switch to the Pages view to work on single pages: move a cover page to the front, slot an appendix into the middle of another document, delete blank scans, rotate a sideways page or duplicate a form you need twice. The large preview lets you check a page before you commit, and undo is always one click away.

Tips for a clean merged PDF

  • Use Sort, then Name A to Z, when your files are numbered, for example 01-intro.pdf, 02-budget.pdf. Numbers are sorted naturally, so 10 comes after 9.
  • Insert a blank page between documents when the merged file will be printed double-sided, so each document starts on a new sheet.
  • Adding photos of receipts or IDs? Choose A4 or Letter page size for the images so every page prints at the same size.
  • Empty files, images your browser cannot open and anything that is not a PDF or image are skipped, and a note tells you which ones.
  • If the merged file is too large to email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.

Download in the format you need

When the merge is done you can rename the file and download it as a PDF, or convert the merged document to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG or PNG in the same dialog. You can also save it to My documents or open it in the PDF editor to sign, annotate or add text. No sign-up, no email and no watermark.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge PDF files online?

Yes. The files are read and merged inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to BestConverter or anyone else, so confidential documents stay with you.

How do I merge only certain pages from a PDF?

Switch to the Pages view, delete the pages you do not need and drag the rest into place. You can also insert pages from one file between pages of another, rotate single pages and add blank pages.

Is there a limit on how many PDF files I can merge?

There is no fixed limit on the number of files or their size. Because everything happens on your device, the practical limit is its memory: a computer handles hundreds of pages easily, a phone may struggle with several hundred megabytes at once.

Can I merge JPG photos and PDFs into one file?

Yes. JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and HEIC photos from an iPhone are accepted next to PDFs. Each image becomes one page, sized to the image or placed on an A4 or Letter page with an optional margin.

Why can I not merge a password-protected PDF?

A PDF locked with an open password cannot be read, and pages from a PDF with editing restrictions can come out blank in the merged file. You are warned when a protected file is added. Remove the protection first with the Unlock PDF tool, then add the file to your merge.

Does merging PDFs reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and searchable and images keep their original quality. Bookmarks (the outline panel) of the original files are not carried over to the merged file.
