Rotate PDF pages online, without uploading them
Scanned documents often come out with a few pages sideways or upside down, and landscape tables end up turned in the middle of a portrait report. BestConverter turns them the right way directly in your browser, so private contracts, invoices and medical papers never leave your computer or phone.
Three quick ways to fix orientation
- Page by page: every page is shown as a thumbnail. Click one to turn it clockwise, or use the arrows under it. A badge shows how far each page will turn.
- Many pages at once: rotate all pages, only odd or even pages (handy for double-sided scans where every back side is upside down), only landscape or portrait pages, or a list you type such as 2-4, 9.
- Auto-straighten: the text on each page is checked for its direction, and pages that read sideways or upside down are turned upright. Scanned pages without text are left as they are.
Rotation without side effects
Turning a page should never mean redrawing it as a picture. BestConverter edits only the rotation value stored for each page, so the content is untouched: no blur, no re-compression, and links, bookmarks, form fields and metadata are kept. Need more than rotation? Open the page organizer from the same window to reorder, delete or add pages, with your rotations already applied.

Frequently asked questions
How do I rotate only some pages of a PDF?
Click a page to turn it 90° clockwise, or use the arrows under it to turn either way. To rotate many pages at once, pick them in "Apply to" (odd, even, landscape, portrait or custom pages such as 1-3, 8 or 10- for page 10 to the end) and press Left, Right or 180°.
How does Auto-straighten know which pages are turned?
It looks at the direction of the text on each page. If most of the text runs sideways or upside down, the page is marked with "!" and can be fixed in one click. It needs real text, so scanned pages without a text layer are not changed automatically. Always check the preview before saving.
Will rotating reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. BestConverter changes only the rotation setting of each page. Nothing is converted to images or re-compressed, so text, images, links, bookmarks and form fields stay exactly as they were.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. The new orientation is saved in the downloaded file, so it opens the right way in every PDF reader, on any device, and prints correctly. Your original file is not changed. Note that a digital signature in the PDF will no longer validate after any change, so rotate before signing.
Can I rotate several PDFs at once?
Yes. Upload several files together. The rotate buttons can apply to all files or only to the one you are viewing, and you can download each result or everything as a ZIP.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
A PDF that needs a password to open must be unlocked first with the Unlock PDF tool. Files that open without a password but carry editing restrictions are rotated when possible; if one fails, unlock it first.
