How to convert PowerPoint to PDF
Add one or more .pptx presentations. They open in your browser and are never sent to a server.
Check the live preview, then pick slides, notes pages or handouts, and which slides to include.
Click Convert to PDF, then download the file, save it to My documents or open it in the editor.
A real slide renderer in your browser
Sharp, searchable PDF
Text stays real text you can select and search, shapes stay vector, and pictures keep their original quality. Clickable web links, links between slides and bookmarks for every slide title come along.
See it before you convert
Browse a live preview of every slide exactly as it will appear in the PDF, choose a range such as 1-5, 9, and decide whether hidden slides are included.
Notes pages and handouts
Print each slide with its speaker notes, or 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 slides per A4 or Letter page. Or keep one page per slide at the original slide size.
Private, free and unlimited
No sign-up, no watermark and no upload: the conversion runs on your device. Convert several presentations at once and merge them into a single PDF if you like.
PowerPoint to PDF without uploading your slides
A PDF is the safest way to share slides: it opens the same way on every computer and phone, nobody needs PowerPoint, and the layout cannot be changed by accident. BestConverter reads your .pptx file directly in the browser and redraws every slide onto a PDF page. Slide masters, layouts and themes are applied, so titles, bullet styles, colours and backgrounds look the way you designed them.
What is converted
- Text: font sizes, bold, italic, underline, colours, alignment, bullets and numbering, with real selectable text.
- Graphics: more than 80 preset shapes and freeform drawings, lines and arrows, gradients, pictures with crops, SmartArt, and bar, column, line, area and pie charts redrawn in a simplified style.
- Tables: cell fills, borders, merged cells and the built-in table styles, with text that stays selectable.
Choose the right layout
Pick Slides for sharing or presenting from a PDF, Notes pages to print your speaker notes next to each slide, or Handouts to give your audience several slides per sheet. You can convert all slides or only a range, include or skip hidden slides, and keep pictures at original quality or reduce them for a smaller file. Under Advanced options you can also turn off clickable links or slide-title bookmarks, and mark with a dashed frame any chart or diagram that could not be reproduced.
Tips for the best result
- Files saved by PowerPoint give the closest result; .pptx exports from Google Slides, Keynote and LibreOffice are read the same way. Save old .ppt files as .pptx first.
- If a chart or SmartArt is reported as missing, open the file in PowerPoint once and save it: PowerPoint then stores the data this converter reads.
- Converting several decks? Upload them together and switch on Merge into one PDF.
- Running out of memory on a phone? Convert a range of slides at a time, or pick Smaller file for pictures.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PowerPoint to PDF without uploading the file?
Open your .pptx on this page: BestConverter reads it and draws every slide inside your browser, on your own device. The slides, notes and pictures are never sent to a server, so confidential decks stay private.
Will the PDF look exactly like my PowerPoint slides?
Typical slides come out very close: layouts, theme colours, backgrounds, text formatting, bullets, shapes, pictures, tables, SmartArt and charts. Fonts are replaced by open fonts (an Arial-style sans serif, or Times and Courier styles) adjusted to similar widths, so line breaks can differ slightly. Shadows, glow, reflections and 3D effects are not drawn, and charts are redrawn from the values saved in the file in a simpler style.
Can I convert PowerPoint to PDF with speaker notes?
Yes. Choose Notes pages: each slide is placed at the top of an A4 or Letter page with its speaker notes underneath, and long notes continue on the next page. Handouts put 2 to 9 slides on each page, and the 3-per-page layout adds lines for writing.
How do I save only some slides as a PDF?
Choose Choose slides and type the slide numbers, for example 1-5, 8, 10-last. Hidden slides are left out by default, like in the slide show; switch on Include hidden slides or type their numbers to keep them.
Why is a chart, picture or video missing from the PDF?
Animations, transitions, audio and video cannot exist in a PDF; a video shows its poster frame. Pictures in the old EMF or WMF vector formats, ink drawings, newer chart types such as waterfall or sunburst, and charts or SmartArt saved without data are skipped and listed after the conversion. Text in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic or Hebrew is not supported yet, and password-protected files or old .ppt files must be saved as a normal .pptx first.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit, no daily quota and no watermark. Very large presentations depend on your device memory. If a deck with many big photos is slow or fails on a phone, choose Smaller file for pictures, which also makes the PDF much lighter to share.
