Why convert PDF to PowerPoint with BestConverter
Text you can really edit
Editable mode turns the PDF text into PowerPoint text boxes with the original position, size, colour, bold and italic, while pictures, charts and backgrounds stay exactly where they were.
Slides that match your pages
Each slide has the same shape as the PDF page, so nothing is stretched or cut off. Prefer a standard deck? Pick 16:9 or 4:3 and the pages are centred.
Links, notes and real size estimates
Web links and links between pages stay clickable in the slide show, the page text can go into the speaker notes, and the file size estimate comes from actually rendering your first page.
Private, free and unlimited
The conversion runs in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded. No account, no watermark, no daily limit, and several PDFs can be converted in one go.
Convert PDF to PowerPoint online, right in your browser
Need to present a report, reuse a brochure or update an old deck that only exists as a PDF? BestConverter turns every PDF page into a PowerPoint slide (.pptx) that opens in Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress. The conversion runs on your device, so the file is never uploaded.
Two ways to build your slides
- Editable: the page is drawn without its text and placed as the slide background, then the text is added back as PowerPoint text boxes. Position, font size, colour, bold, italic and rotated text are kept. Lines that belong together become one paragraph box, or choose one box per line for the most exact layout.
- Exact: each page becomes a full-slide picture at the quality you choose. Ideal for handouts, posters and designs where the look matters more than editing.
Details that save you time
- Slide size follows the PDF page, so portrait and landscape pages keep their shape.
- Clickable web links and links to other pages keep working in the slide show.
- Optional speaker notes with the text of each page, handy for searching or for reading while you present.
- Convert all pages or only the ones you need, for example 1-3, 7.
- Pages that are plain white behind the text get no background picture at all, which keeps the file light.
- A live preview of the first slide outlines every text box before you convert.
Good to know
Pictures, charts and table borders stay part of the background picture rather than becoming separate PowerPoint objects. Scanned pages without real text are kept as pictures. When the PDF uses fonts you do not have, PowerPoint substitutes a similar font. Very large files convert most reliably in a desktop browser, and Compact quality helps on phones. The result is a standard PPTX file with no watermark, and you can convert as many files as you like.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to an editable PowerPoint?
Upload the PDF, keep Editable selected and click Convert to PowerPoint. The text becomes real text boxes on top of a background picture of the page without its text, so you can change words, fonts and colours. Exact mode instead puts each page on its slide as one picture that looks identical but cannot be edited.
Why does the text look slightly different after converting?
Text keeps its position, size, colour, bold, italic and rotation, but if a font used in the PDF is not installed on your computer, PowerPoint shows a similar one, so a line can come out a little wider or narrower. Turn on "Use only standard Office fonts" if you plan to share the file.
Can I edit charts and tables after converting PDF to PowerPoint?
Pictures, drawings, charts and table lines stay in the slide background picture, while the text inside tables becomes separate text boxes. To get a native PowerPoint chart or table you need to recreate it by hand.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to PowerPoint?
Yes, but a scan is a picture, so its slides come out as pictures in both modes and a hidden OCR text layer is left out so the text does not appear twice. Turn on speaker notes to copy that recognised text into the notes of each slide; a scan without any text layer can go through OCR PDF first.
What slide size will my presentation have?
By default each slide has the same size and shape as the PDF page, for example A4 or Letter, and when pages differ the most common size is used with the others centred. You can also choose widescreen 16:9 or standard 4:3.
Is it safe to convert confidential PDFs?
Yes. Your files are processed on your own device and never sent to a server. Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password, which is only used locally to read the file.
